What is Joshua Tree Live?
Joshua Tree Live is a grassroots streaming platform connecting artists directly with fans from the High Desert. Watch live performances, chat in real-time, and purchase exclusive merchandise and music — while 85% of every sale goes straight to the artist.
Is the stream free to watch?
Yes! Watching live streams is free except for specialty shows behind a paywall, which require at least a Front Row membership.
How do I know when a show starts?
Front Row members and above receive 1-hour pre-show notifications via the app. You can also check back often or follow us on social media.
How do I buy merch or music during a live show?
Watch the live stream, then type the item number shown on screen into the chat (e.g. type “3”). A purchase popup will appear — tap Continue to Store and complete your secure Stripe payment. Digital downloads are available immediately after purchase.
Do I need a membership to purchase during live shows?
Yes, a Backstage Pass ($2.99/mo) or higher is required to purchase items during live merch shows. This helps support the platform and gives members exclusive access to limited-edition items.
Where do I find my downloads?
Go to “My Orders” in the app. You’ll see a Digital Downloads section with download buttons for all your music and videos.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your membership anytime through your account settings. You’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
How much do artists receive?
Artists receive 85% of every sale. We keep 15% to maintain the platform, pay for streaming infrastructure, and keep Joshua Tree Live running — compared to ~$0.003 per stream on Spotify.
I already have a membership — how do I access the app?
Download the Joshua Tree Live app and log in with the exact same email address you used when subscribing. Your tier will be applied automatically.
The stream won’t load
Anything can happen with live streaming. If you have issues, email us at media@joshuatreelive.tv and we’ll work with you to get it sorted.
I found a bug
This is our first release and we’ve tested thoroughly, but surprises happen. Please let us know at media@joshuatreelive.tv so we can fix it.
